European Master of Science in Occupational Therapy part-time
International recognition for OT-EuroMaster thesis published in Journal of Occupational Science
StoryNews

We are proud to announce that one of the OT-EuroMaster thesis publications has been among the most downloaded articles in the past 12 months in the Journal of Occupational Science.
The article, entitled 'Challenging the gender binary in occupation-based research: A feminist critical discourse analysis of sex differences', was published in July 2024 and can be read here (opens in new window).
In the OT-EuroMaster, students write their thesis in the format of a journal article, which they can further develop and submit to a peer-reviewed journal together with their supervisors as co-authors.
That Léa’s article is among the most downloaded articles underlines both the relevance of her topic and the value of critical methodologies that help us question our practices — in this case, scientific approaches — and bring power relations to the forefront. This recognition highlights the high quality of the article, which builds on the student’s hard work and the dedication of the OT-EuroMaster supervisors and co-authors in supporting our students and alumni throughout the programme and beyond, including during the publication process.
We are proud of this shared commitment and send our warm congratulations to alumna Léa Nussbaumer and her supervisors and co-authors Nadine Blankvoort and Lisette Farias.
