Design the future of knitwear at the 3D Knit Summer School 2026

Under the guidance of expert and lab coordinator Leslie Eisinger, participants will learn to program knitting machines, experiment with shape and texture, and develop a complete garment using 3D knitting technology.

Experimenting with innovation and circularity

This edition focuses on sustainability, circularity and innovation. Participants work in small teams on a single collaborative design and go through the entire process: from the first test swatches to a finished garment.

During the week, participants are introduced to the software and machinery behind 3D WholeGarment knitting. The focus then shifts to experimentation and design, with an focus on new techniques, materials and shapes.

Learning and designing together

The Summerschool brings participants from different disciplines together. Students, professionals and teachers work intensively together and share knowledge, ideas and experiences. As a result, the week offers not only an opportunity to deepen technical knowledge, but also a place for meeting and exchanging ideas within the world of textile innovation.
